Genia Johnson Williams
Owner / Instructor / Choreographer
Eighteen years training in the Tri-City area in all forms of dance. Dance seminar training with national dance organizations, including Dance Educators of America (DEA), DTI, DMI, Hoctors Dance Caravan, I Love Dance and National Dance Alliance (NDA). Chosen for Hoctors Dance Caravan Tour (audition required). Attended Radford University Fall 1996 –Spring 2001 studied Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Choreography, Children’s Development under Franco Jelincic, Dagmar Kesslar, &Margaret Devaney. Danced and choreographed for RU Rockers, a collegiate-level dance team at Radford University for four years (auditions required). Traveled and performed four years with Division I team to Big South Tournaments and NCAA Championship. Winter and Spring performances at Radford University, including the Nutcracker and Radford’s Spring Shows with guest artists.
Faculty – Head Coach and Choreographer for Radford University Dance Team 2000/2001. Board of Judges for Radford University Dance Team. Choreographer and Board of Judges for Midlothian High School Dance Team. Graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dance/Performing Arts with study in Business, Spring 2001. Fall 2002 – Longwood College Dance Camp Director/Choreographer and Prince George High School Dance Team Choreographer and co-founder.
Judge for Dance and Cheerleading tryouts and auditions around the Tri-City and Richmond area, including Thomas Dale High School, Colonial Heights High School, Midlothian High School and Prince George High School. 2005 – Present Certified as Member of Dance Educators of America. 2007 First recipient of DMI Marjorie Perry Spirit Award, 2007-2008 Biltmore’s Who’s Who of Business Professionals. 2010 Dance Education of America Inc. Outstanding Choreographer Award “Enter Sandman”. 2010-2013 Production Staff/2013 Choreographer for the Miss Virginia/ Miss Virginia Teen USA Pageant. Genia lives in Richmond with her husband Mark and son Blake Davidson
